If it ain't one thing it's another, right!!!
For well over a year I have been dealing with pain in my legs, actually my knee. ...and here lies the problem. My right knee is the one that I am having surgery on, but because I have been "favoring" that knee, my left leg (the so called bad one) has been over worked. I've reached a point where it is definitely time to wrap both legs but I'm unable to do so because of balance issues and surgery. I'm afraid that wrapping will cause me to be unbalanced and I cannot depend on my the injured knee. Wow, that was like a tongue twister!
Each day with lymphedema is a learning process, and the lessons keep coming. I have been using a cane for over a year and because of that, my ability to balance on my own has been hindered. So I have some readjusting to do, learning to walk independent of the cane and strengthen the weakened muscles and the limb itself.
Well, with all of that said, I still thank God for the use of my limbs even in the pain. I am confident that this "leg" of the problem will soon be over.
Although I have a very fashionable cane, I am so ready to put my dance partner away (smile)
