My Left Leg-A walk with Lymphedema

I have schedule a follow up appointment for pain in my knee (orthopedic surgeon), but surprise! It's not my left leg this time it's the right one, I guess it was feeling left out (sarcastically said). It is believed that I have a torn meniscus. What does that mean to me? Well...surgery. Because of the risk involved, I have been struggling with whether or not to have the surgery. If I am having a "good day" the answer is no, if I am having pain and the level is anywhere over 5 (on a pain scale of 0-10)then I am ready to cut it open myself!
Well I have mentioned to several people, if I'm going to do this I need to have it done by a particular date (the holidays are coming). But someone said to me, wait...this is your health why are you putting your healing on a calendar, why is everything more important than you taking care of yourself, all I could say was you're right. So, I will once again follow the the Doctors orders and do what needs to be done when it needs to happen (wow what an epiphany) lol!
I had MLD therapy and I attend a local Lymphedema support group which is run by professionals in the field of Lymphedema, which includes treatment and therapy. I trust their professional opinions. The risk are great, but God is greater right?
So here I go again.

The lesson this week must be; Fear less and trust more. Walk by faith and not by site. There are so many lessons to be learned.
