My left Leg - A walk with Lymphedema

I have mentioned on more than one occasion how difficult this "walk" with lymphedema has been. It has been a strain mentally, emotionally as well as financially. Doctors still know very little about this condition and professionals in the Health care industry have quite a ways to go before they truly understand, recognize and respect all the aspects of this progressive condition. Lymphedema affects thousands maybe even millions of people thoughout the world. The one thing we all have in common is the dream that one day we will receive the medical help that is so desperately needed. Until then the challenge is to keep our heads up, do everything needed to retard the progression that they say is bound to happen. So if you have lymphedema, know that you are not alone we can and will do this.
