"Life"

In my X amount of time on this earth, I have learned a thing or two (smile).

One thing that I learned very early in life is that "to whom much is give, much is required"

For the record, I have been given so much so guess what so much more is required of me. Not by my neighbors, not by my family nor my friends but by God. So I have decided to rise to the occasion. One of my most recent lessons is..."It's not about me" I look at the mountains and molehills the curves and the straightways, the floods and the puddles in my life and realize that with all that, it still "ain't about me". With ever struggle I am able to learn something that may lift someone else or at least warn them that there is danger ahead so they will have the opportunity to change their path (if they so choose). I have been so blessed and because of that when the storms in my life began, I was taken aback. I was shocked mentally and I thought I was not prepared but, scriptures that I learned became my strength. Such as; I will not leave you nor forsake you, Ye though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil, God has not given me a spirit of fear, but a spirit of LOVE, POWER AND A SOUND MIND, God is my refuge and my strength. Songs of praise took my focus off my woes and allowed me to focus on him ( Jesus).

I hope that if you ever get to a point where there are storms and mountains in your life you are equipped to handle it. Equipped with the word, equipped with the knowledge that you are not alone and able to say to the storm - Peace, be still.
