"Life"

Last night I watched the opening ceremony for the Winter Olympics and it took me to a place that I needed to be mentally.

There is something that happens in me when I see people from all over the world coming together peacefully. I found myself tearing up as I thought about all that we have been through. When I speak of we, I am not only speaking of the United States of America. I am speaking of the conditions in the world as a whole. It forced me to think about how people dropped what they were doing to help in Haiti and even New Orleans during the Katrina disasters.

I am reminded that the "son" still shines! I am reminded that there are good people in this world, I am reminded that there is hope.

I am able to take my mind off myself and think about the world and all that God has done for us and given us. I am able to say thank you to the Olympic athletes for showing me we really can work together and thank you to the volunteers in Haiti and all over the world for believing that you can make a difference and stepping out there to do just that. So today if only for a day I know it's going to be ok...until the next time keep up the good work and...

GO USA 2010 WINTER OLYMPIC ATHLETES!!! BRING HOME THE GOLD BABY!!!
