Pain, I almost feel like I am an expert when talking about this. Let's just say within the past few years I did a tour of pain, going though physical, emotional and mental "pain". When pain is present anywhere in my body it sets my system off, like an alarm. I have found that I get irritated quicker and have less patience, when it gets to a certain level I can't even think straight.
What this has done is made me more sensitive to seniors and people with disabilities.
So often we see people who are frowning or appear to be angry and instead of offering assistance or giving a word of encouragement or even a smile we ignore them and try to come to our own conclusions.
Well when I am in pain, I find that I may not be as friendly as I once was, it is no excuse for being mean or rude but let's just say, I understand now.
Often physical pain is a manifestation of emotional pain or unsolved issues that have festered inside of us causing a venom like affect that spreads through our system. Causing diseases such a high blood pressure, ulcers, depression, problems with the digestive system etc.
It helps to "clean the attic" just let go of all the venom that is killing us from the inside out. Forgiveness is not only important to the soul it is also important for the body! Everyday is a gift, let's welcome the new day, with a new attitude and a new sense of empathy.
